  • What kind of rice did you use, sticky rice maybe? Sorry I'm new to this kind of cooking.

  • @pinkypie18810101 Thank you for your question & don't be sorry it's a good one!

We used traditional Japanese white rice, and explain how to make sushi rice in 2 other of our tutorials (both on the stovetop & in a rice maker) so if you watch that we walk you through the process of how to make rice. The only difference for these Onigiris is that once you cook the rice that's it - don't follow any other the steps after that to make regular rice "sushi rice". Does that help?

  • Are these made with the sweet sushi rice?

  • @vanibrown Thank you for your question!

These are NOT made with the sweet sushi rice. If you want to make them you can check out our video, How To Make Sushi Rice, but only make it until the point when the rice is done cooking and after that do not mix in any of the other ingredients we show.

    Does that answer your question?

  • i think the voice over is pretty good.. :)

  • @valee25 Thank you :D

  • @TheJapanfoodchannel Thanks!!

  • @AniAddictDaisuken Thank you for your honest feedback :) Unfortunately at this point I'm the best we've got, but if I can figure out a way to get someone better to do the narration for us I promise to do that. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve it I'd be happy to know - thanks!

  • @mzbeautifulmess Thank you for your comment & great question :) The "shiny" side of the seaweed is the side that faces outwards. It is also the "smoother" side and is really easy to tell which side is which when you open up your pack of seaweed. If you have any other questions feel free to ask & please let us know how they turn out :D

  • Yum... I'm going to tries this tomorrow. Question do u put the shining side of the nori toward the rice or does it face outside? (Hopefully that make sense)
