A video showing the entire Master's speech (if you listen carefully), the Prince's disinterested unveiling, and the statue itself, as well as part of Darwin's grreat great granddaughter's interview before I turned the camera off.
Thanks for giving me an image of how it went today. All I saw on BBC America was a doorway, and I couldn't recall which college it was. I was never in Christ's when I was there 2001-03, but of course I passed it almost every day.
Brings back memories - of waiting for the bus at the St Andrews stop across the way, of buying noodles/soap/sausages/paperbacks in the market nearby, and of admiring the architecture and writhing at the lousy service at Lloyds TSB just across from Christ's entrance...
You'll be happy to know that you still have to queue 45 minutes in Lloyds--just to be told where to queue for service.
