(My apologies for looking like a serial killer. This is my first video) It is the nature of money that promotes greed, not human nature, just as the nature of cocaine causes certain reactions in us. Anything that can be hoarded facilitates greed, particularly when we set ourselves up to need it. We shouldn't extrapolate our way of life on human nature.
Money strips the self worth of a culture by rendering paper and coin more valuable than people and the actual goods & services they represent. It's not human nature; it's the nature of money.
We're so scared of repeating history that we fail to learn from it.
We depend on too much which is out of our control just to live. We don't realize how little control of our survival we now have because we rely on a system to do what we were made to do ourselves.
(Some people create a meal without a recipe while others rearrange the plate of food served to them and wonder why the meal is the same.)
Money is a 'middle man' & controlled by a third party who adjusts interest rates for the good of those who don't need to be a part of or profit from my exchange with another. All I wish to do is remove that middle man. I don't want my value adjusted for someone else's good. We're as dependent on it as crack and we never second guess whether or not we need it. We're forced to keep acquiring money when our worth is built in, it's constant.
We think of a farmer as a farmer and a teacher as a teacher. Civilization leads us to believe we are worth one skill. One who grows vegetables is just as much a cook, teacher, hunter, babysitter, etc. Civilization has caused us to feel worthless if we don't possess a skill corporations need. Civilization encourages us to do only one skill and rely on corporations for the rest. We'll need money to get the very things we can produce on our own from corporations or businesses. We possess survival skills and that has actual, practical worth to anyone in any society unless we're taught that we are of little value, so we work for money to purchase what we can produce.
We can teach, cook, garden, sew, build, repair, grow, babysit, hunt, give health care, clean. Money has us thinking that we are only worth what a company wants from us & that if we don't possess these things, we're worthless.
Globalization was once a pipe dream. It took think tanks (Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, Bilderberg Group, Bohemian Grove) and decades of studying & lobbying before a company from Britain could own US ports and a company from UAE could make an offer to purchase them.
If we don't start or consider something until we have all of the answers, we'll never accomplish anything. I'm sure the Wright Bros couldn't explain exactly how they would fly. Try, instead, to get the overall idea of my point. I'm sure there were numerous "what if"ers of the Wright Brothers, too. I'm sure the micro-questions were rational. They were wrong.
The very things most appreciate and defend wouldn't be if the powers that be needed all of the answers instead of looking at the benefits and taking action.
Some people create a meal without a recipe while others rearrange the plate of food served to them and wonder why the meal is the same.
We now crave, defend and run towards that which makes us physiologically, emotionally and mentally sick & punish those who wish to break free from it.
According to "themanyone": "Money can be used to make a garden but it can't make things grow. Money can help mom and dad make ends meet but it can't keep them together. It can buy books but it will not make you well-read. Those things take *work*. Work is superior to money and can be used in its place, and with greater value. A person who is not lazy is not poor, no matter what the tax man says."

money is non existant to begin with so something is going on deep within the minds of the people with all the power. they say our money is backed up in gold but whoever said gold was so precious as to build our whole world around it is power hungy and takin advantage of us. if we were still in trading times no one would want to trade for gold unless they had everything they already needed because gold cannot feed your belly, it cant keep you out of the rain or give your head a cushion to sleep
i have no doubt in my mind that a world without money would be the answer to all of our problems. without money there would no longer be starvation, homelessness, depression, and deception. i imagine our government would be taking care of us instead of using us to gain power. i imagine machines doing all the work we dont want to do like mass production, plumbing, fast food, trash pick up, and we would be left with the jobs we enjoy doing such as teaching and acting and saving peoples lives.
Humans are COMPETITIVE not greedy. The system manipulates these base attributes into the economies that dominate our planet. There will always exist some form of currency, but these fiscal systems are engineered to enslave us. Our perception dictates very much our behaviour and for most people their perception is that you need MONEY.
The most amusing thing is the G20 convening with an impasse as a resolution. TEchnology does not have to increase exponentially for us to be happy here on earth
Are you familiar with the idea of Simulacrum? On my website I have a copy of Jean Baudrillard's Smulacra and Simulations as well as an essay on Money As Simulacrum You will also find links to Daniel Quinn's website, his books for download, and the wikipedia article on him. BTW im not trying to sound like spam, i'm just trying to provide some tools that the people who are interested in these vids might find useful. these led me to this way of thinking. superdnet (dot) doesntexist (dot) com
thanks that's very interesting. I should have known 'who' you were by your name. I've been very interested in this kind of thinking ever since I first saw Star Trek and realized that our current capitalist ideals could never spurn multi trillion dollar space craft, and I've always wondered what kind of economic systems could facilitate the wiles of men while still maintaining productivity and innovation. bookmarked.
I used the advice from the OTCSP newsletter and things have been going really well now, thanks for asking.. you should check it out too, its free anyway.. authoropen . com
Interesting argument SaviorOfLogic...That's why we've increased the extinction rate a thousand times...Which means two hundred species are going extinct per day according to the latest scientific data. I'll bet that you are one of those people who believes Oil is infinite and that Global Warming is all a hoax! Btw, it is true that people are replanting trees that were cut, but the system still is wanting to grow more!
Greed cannot be gotton rid of. Private property is the only solution to environmental problems. I care about the environment, but realised that putting our faith in the state or people's conscience leads to destruction.
no man. a complete overhaul of modern ways. If it be the extinction of man so be it, get what you give. Wouldn't be the first humans to disappear. Desire for Power creates Greed. The state crave power & the average person (sorry to say) is easily fooled. Now days they are just plain stupid. I fool people regularly when I do magic shows. Trust me, people are EASILY FOOLED. Hell, even I admit being duped on occasion.
Hypothetical: The world as you know it ends one day. The value of ALL forms of accepted currency (MONEY) becomes worthless. The electric plant is not producing power AND to top it off, it the dead of winter. How do you provide for self & loved ones? All food shops will be closed & looted or secured by the elite whose system you worship, but you ain't getting it because they want it.Can you provide for yourself, never mind the loved ones?Or, are you dead in the next couple months?97% of humans die
