M. S. Ramaiah College of Hotel Management, Bangalore.

Late Shri. M.S.Ramaiah, a noted entrepreneur, industrialist, visionary and philanthropist started the Gokula Education Foundation with his own resources in 1962, with laudable and worthy objective of establishing institutions of technical excellence for students from all over the world.

With careful nurturing, dedication and total commitment, this small seed has grown into a mammoth Jnana Gangotri, with 15 institutions spread over a 150 acre campus in the heart of Bangalore. It has student strength of over 9000, pursuing their careers in the field of Engineering sciences, Medical Sciences, General Sciences and Management Studies.

In response to the dearth of professionally qualified and adequately trained management personnel, which arose due to a rapid growth in the hotel and tourism industry of the country, M.S. Ramaiah College of Hotel Management was established in the year 1993.

The college is approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of Karnataka and is affiliated to Bangalore University.

The college is offering four years Bachelors Degree in Hotel Management (BHM) programme of Bangalore University. The college is also approved by All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India. The entry level for the course is 10+2 or its equivalent. Admissions are done purely on merit.

INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE
1.Duration 8 Semesters
2.The course has been designed in view of the industrys present requirements.
3.The college conducts unit tests and term exams too, the passing of which is a prerequisite for appearing for the final exams.
4.6 months of industrial training in the VI Semester.
5.The college has tieups with hotels in Bangalore and can arrange the industrial training .
6.For hotels outside Bangalore, the college gives letters of recommendation.
