I've tagged this video as relating to Backward Masking, but there is nothing backward (as far as anyone can tell) in this audio track. This is meant to illustrate how syllables may be interpreted into the English language the same way that the so-called backward masking is interpreted.

I believe this is actually a Turkish song rather than Indian. I have borrowed this video to make a point about interpolating syllables spoken in a language other than English and comparing how they sound with genuine English words. The interpretation of the language of this video is very funny when the "suggested" English words are added to the screen, but as you watch it remember this is NOT a translation into English. This is merely how the words sound to the individual who put the words on the video, and as funny as it appears, you can bet the meaning of the words spoken hopefully have a completely different meaning. This is what I believe people are doing who "interpret" backward masking in music. A little imagination can go a long way and a person can hear all sorts of things, especially when someone else is guiding them along with text while the bits are playing in reverse. Although there are clearly some songs where the artists "intentionally" lay in tracks in reverse for the aural effect, there are also those which are recorded normally which MAY sound like something else when played in reverse. I believe THIS to be totally unintentional and only becomes an issue with conspiracy hunters, and other people who have nothing else to do with their time, particularly those who are still trying to find clues in the music of The Beatles which suggest that Paul McCartney is dead. C'mon, man. That conspiracy is 40 years old and has been proven to be a hoax. Suggesting back masking evidence as proof is just preposterous. And it is very sad to see how many people seem to be buying into it.
