@DubiousBrown A few is a few too many. There would have been many more innocent people hanged since the death penalty was abolished. Unbelievably some pro-death penalty campaigners these days believe that the risk of executing the odd innocent person is a risk worth taking in order to reinstate it. I wonder if they would feel the same if it were suddenly them or one of their relatives or friends awaiting execution for a crime they didn't commit.

@Marillionboy Yeah, i went in there and it does seem very authentic and unchanged, unlike the Elgin. I tried to find people who knew the protagonists in the case but i guess it was just too long ago.

Let's find Evans & his families soul. They were all murdered in one way or another.
Parliament did everything it could to keep it all covered up & as recently as 2002 refused the right to appeal the conviction knowing they sent a man to the gallows completely innocent.
I agree with the death penalty for murderous scum. Evans was one of a very few that was wrongly hung is all I'm saying.
He should have the conviction finally quashed. A reprieve doesn't do it. If you get it wrong put it right.

That is no where near it, try going in from Lancaster Rd,Wesley sq and go to 22 St Andrews Sq. Barlte Rd is about 3 times the length Rillington Place used to be. The entrance to barlte is closer to the bridge than what Rillinton place was and it runs at a different angle.

One location connected with the case that never gets mentioned and yet is, amazingly, completely unchanged, is the Kensington Park Hotel on Ladbroke Grove. Evans drank here, and even mentioned doing so in one of his police statements. I think it was where the scene in the film of the Evans' having a drink after the cinema was filmed. The pub is absolutely unchanged today, and is a genuine piece of London history.
