ive just read "native americans" by jon e lewis, in it are accounts, letters home and reports by soldiers there, one of custers 7th cavalry troops had to count the dead natives after they were slaughtered in a ravine,there were 17 warriors and 111 squaws, children and old people, but custer made it out they were all warriors, it saddens me how they were pushed ever and onward till there was none of their lands left for them........
