Manitobaville: The Pas, OCN & RM of Kelsey

Residents of our Tri Community The Pas, OCN, RM of Kelsey should be awarded the title of Manitobaville 2011.
Annually we host Trappers Festival, Opaskwayak Indian Days, and the Northern Roots Music Festival. Our vast landscape allows us to share our northern hospitality with visitors year round. Having the Clearest Lakes in the world, the best fishing North America has to offer and hundreds of miles of snowmobiling trails to experience, allows locals a chance to boast to any visitor that we are Manitobaville.
The Saskatchewan, Carrot, and Pasquia Rivers this Spring tested our strength as a community. Neighbors, coworkers, and new relationships all flourished with the rising of the water levels. The people of our area witnessed what our pioneering forefathers would have as levels reached the 100 year flood stage.
Our Tri Community encompasses what Manitobaville will represent, Hospitality, Spirit, and Resilience.
The Pas Families Building a Better Community Group Inc. will be using the prize money to purchase Marty the Moose who will be apart of our Spray Park we are building. This project will be a gathering area to allow residents and visitors to cool off during our hot humid summer months.
