The 3rd single from their superb 1988 album, 'Strange Kind of Love' and one of my favourite songs and videos of the 1980's.

  • Oh this track really hits hard and deep... So beautiful, thoughtful and real. A very underestimated band, not forgetting James Grant's fantastic voice.

  • why was the boy not a mega star? coolest of the 80s scottish soul boys by a mile - and he can really play. a travesty. thanks for uploading.

  • I used to go to Paddys Market, little did i realise i was walking in Jocelyn Square, soooo cool

  • Jeez a quarter of a century ago, this creative explosion washed Glasgow..tempus fugit

  • i'm from holland, and here nobody knows love & money, witch is a damn shame, because they deserve a place between 80's names like level 42, curiosity killed the cat, simple minds and so on. i only knew "halleluiah man" so after al these years it came up in my mind again, and found out that they had alot of great songs like thise one, and therefore it's hard to believe that they never made it outside the uk. Someone should have kicked some record company executive

butt, back in the days imo.

  • The line that always makes me stop and think is, "And the worst thing that could happen is the answer to her prayers." So delightfuly ambiguous.

  • belleza

  • love this band still have all the 12" singles with prints and the cassettes.

  • I really miss this sophisticated, full sounding music.

  • Absolutely love this song! The entire "Strange Kind of Love" album is incredible and it's a real shame this band never received the notoriety that they deserved. The musicianship is as good as it gets and the lyrics for all of the songs are deep, whimsical, and haunting. I immediately connected with L & M the first time I heard this album because so much of what they sing about parallels events and feelings from my own life! Man, I really miss Jeff Porcaro! RIP Jeff!

  • beautiful...

  • Just a brilliant album with Gary Katz (Steely Dan) producing! ; )
