This is my playthrough of "Diddy Kong Racing" for the Nintendo 64.

I'm doing character playthroughs. That means I'm using every character on a seperate playthrough.

I'm playing as Tiptup. He is a clumsy turtle. He's not really my favorite character, but he is cool, even though his top speed is low.

Next character playthrough is Pipsy.

Previous character playthrough was Diddy Kong.

Part 10 of 22:
- Whale Bay | Silver Coin Challenge
- Pirate Lagoon | Silver Coin Challenge
- Crescent Island | Silver Coin Challenge
- Treasure Caves | Silver Coin Challenge
- Bubbler's Course [Rematch]

Whale Bay | Silver Coin Challenge:
This one is fairly easy to do without Zippers. Since Tiptup is a lightweight character, I chose to collect the silver coins on the final lap. However, as I was collecting the 4th silver coin, I took advantage of a green boost after hitting a Zipper. Same goes for the 7th silver coin I was collecting. Again, I could not hit the side of the wall with the hovercraft, as that would qualify as crashing, thus taking damage. Not good.

Pirate Lagoon | Silver Coin Challenge:
This one is slightly easy to do without Zippers. Since Tiptup is a lightweight character, I chose to collect the silver coins on the final lap. Again, I was careful not to hit the side of the wall with the hovercraft, as that would qualify as crashing, thus taking damage. Not good.

Crescent Island | Silver Coin Challenge:
This one is slightly easy to do without Zippers. I took advantage of a green boost after hitting the first Zipper while I was collecting the 1st silver coin.

Treasure Caves | Silver Coin Challenge:
Since this course isn't all that long, this one is quite a challenge to do without Zippers. 10 bananas are needed to do this, as well as powersliding. There is pretty much no room for error, because if you get hit by a homing missile, you're screwed, and you will have to use Zippers. Luckily, that wasn't the case for me.

Bubbler's Course [Rematch]:
Again, in most people's opinion, Bubbler is harder than Bluey, and he may be the hardest boss to beat, aside from racing against Wizpig. But in my opinion, Bubbler is easier than Bluey, and he isn't all that hard to beat. During the rematch against Bubbler, I got 3 red balloons. And as I was entering the 2nd lap, I shot missiles at Bubbler like there was no tomorrow. Unfortunately, I lost my 10 missiles because I was too careless. Thankfully, I overtook him. That's just my usual way of beating him, though. After that, I just used my driving skills thoughout the entire boss race. Like always, I avoided obstacles, such as bubbles. Bubbles qualify as taking damage.

Tiptup's stats
- Weight group: Light
- Acceleration: 4.5 ~ Great
- Turning: 4.5 ~ Great
- Top Speed: 1.5 ~ Low

Tiptup has great handling and acceleration, but his top speed is low. Even though he has low speed, his top speed is slightly better than Pipsy's. With 10 bananas, Tiptup's top speed is the same as Diddy's when he has 10 bananas. He is greatly one of the recommended characters to use at the very start of this game.

How the game works:
AIs cheat by using a power up whenever you do, as well as honking the horn. 60% of the time, there is always a chance that you will be hit a homing missile. If you get enough distance in 1st place, the AIs will stop hitting Zippers behind you.

Rules of play:
- Takes no damage (no getting hit by weapons, no crashing, no bouncing off the ice, no flying into obstacles, et cetera)
- No race losses
- No restarts (even after getting the key needed to unlock battle stages)
- Hits no Zippers in normal races and silver coin challenges
- Uses no blue balloon boosts in normal races and silver coin challenges

NOTE: I didn't use Zippers or blue balloon boosts for the normal races and silver coin challenges, like in my original walkthrough. The only time I use them is when I'm getting the key to unlock a battle stage, and when I'm doing the trophy race. 10 bananas are more than enough to win normal races and silver coin challenges. Yes, bananas do increase the top speed of the character that you're using.
