man i wanna try something like this but the idea of drowning a thousand dollars worth of gear in baby oil is just too risky for me

@owndapwn i was very lucky on the ide cables, they only JUST reach. you can get power connector extension cables no probs. just make sure your tank is not to big as mine is BANG ON perfect for atx size. it was just a kids starter tank.
look at my tank sizes in the video description..then if you wanted to cut some cardboard up and stick it together with tape you will be able to see the size of my tank right there in front of yourself..and you will know what size you need to get

@ThegamzerPolice idle...oil 35c ... cpu 40c ... gpu 49c ... audio card 37c
100% maxed out for 24 hours ... oil 40c ... cpu 57c ... gpu 58c ... audio card 51c
remember this system is NEVER turned off ... its always on
i never built it to win any temperature wars... i wanted something different , silent and dust free
its not over clocked either
it does take about 12 hours to go from idle temp to max temp where i bet an aircooled cpu will do that in 5 minutes

@MegaSp1200 this is all you need ....imagination then....
just take a computer apart, remove ALL dust, dump everything (exept optical drive and hard drive) in a plastic box, connect all cables back up, fill box with mineral oil, turn on, and finally make it look good,

@Techsified i had them squeezed in a 10 ton press .... but you only get 100ml in a baby so it does take over 200

if peanut oil is made from peanuts and corn oil is made from corn.. does baby oil come from baby's?
and what? cause it's baby oil it doesn't matter if the motherboard and components are turned on working in the oil? (like it would in water?) with no "protection"?
angusis2fast4u 1 day ago
@angusis2fast4u nope .... no protection.... nothing special has been done to anything that is in the oil ......it's just normal pc parts
