Lindsay Peters Bennelong - People are Concerned

The people of Bennelong are concerned about a whole range of issues, and the way John Howard has managed them. Knowing we are at war in Iraq, in Afghanistan and the eternal, unwinnable "war on terror" is of great concern to local residents. Climate change is also a major concern. John Howard has done all he can to delay any real action on climate change, because he is so deeply and personally involved with the captains of the fossil fuel industries. He is unable to make decisions for the good of the country - rather he is obliged, through political donations and through his slavish adherence to US policy, to frustrate any real attempts to move to a sustainable, clean and jobs-rich future.
