glad to see you've tried to save it. Baby sparrows are pretty hard to be rescued. I believe anyone whoever raised a bird know that. You've tried your best.

NEVER EVER put water (or any liquid) directly into the mouth of a wild baby bird. Doing so will more than likely cause the bird to drown or get pneumonia. If the bird is dehydrated (you can tell by looking in his mouth, it should be moist if the bird is hydrated), you can feed him tiny slivers of grape (w/out the skin) or watermelon. For food you can feed him a mixture of dry dog or cat food & water or you can buy formula from the pet store. He'll get all the water he needs from his food.

don't know why do u think mine died
Never give baby sparrows water..You had good intentions and hopefully a lesson learned. Next time feed it mushed up cat food that does NOT contain seafood...Once the bird's crop is filled stop feeding even though it will still beg for food if coaxed..at that age feeding every two hours is critical.. As it gets older about the 9th day or so feeding becomes less frequent..A sparrow grows from hatchling to fledgling in 11-13 days..So yes they grow quickly and feeding times a critical..

i found the thing on the drive way and I tried my best and did what the Internet and animal shelters said. Unfortunately it died about a year ago.
