  • @supereater14 It just switches to TTY4. By default, there are 6 TTYs. And the seventh is X.

  • here's a tip: ctrl+alt+f4 shows the ubuntu command line

  • Yeah I've just gotten used to the new shortcut, works just fine for me!

  • ehm - you now, that you can kill X with alt + print + k since jaunty?!

    I thought the new X-Version is the reason for this shortcut 0o

  • Is it a problem with a 9.10 beta as I had the same problem (the instal froze), so I installed 9.04 instead.

  • Thanks as the lastest beta of Ubuntu will not switch of properly, so hopefully this will cure it.
