Roberto Parker, Owner of Innovative Sports Training and Rob Jackson, GM and Instructor at Mac-N-Seitz Baseball and Softball demonstrate how using Myosource Kinetic Bands can benefit baseball players in a number of ways including speed improvement, hitting and core development.

Developing a strong core througn resistance training can help improve baseball speed and strength. Improving your 60 yard dash time is important, because a good time can help you stand out to coaches and scouts.

Core development is very important for all athletes in all positions. Baseball/Softball players benefit from speed improvement for base running, base stealing, lateral quickness for infielders. Outfielders benefit from first step quickness and speed breaking to the ball. Pitchers benefit from core leg strength for power and explosion increasing velocity and balance. Hitters benefit from Core strength for hip rotation and driving the ball and staying inside. Catchers benefit from core strength for squatting, quickness coming up, endurance and balance.

  • can some one tell me where i get those resistant bands.

  • Hey,

    educate the mind,

By squashing/squishing the bug the hips drive the rear foot down into the ground therefore virtually eliminating forward weight shift, during the swing movement the body needs to freely shift forward into a strong straight front foot/leg with the rear hip rotating forward with the knee and foot pivoting forward bringing the rear foot upon it's shoe toe and then slightly resting back on it's ball area after contact is made.

  • hey where you at, that looks like the same place were GSP goes to train have you seen him around

  • these bands wont help squatting will

  • they BOTH know alot about hitting mechanics. I like the fact that in the instructors comments he didn't mention the "staying back" that we all used to hear. You can "squash the bug" and keep balanced without losing the power of hitting off the front pivot axis of the front leg. He also kept his front shoulder in, leading arm slightly bent (not completely straight as most teach) and struck the ball exactly in the power "triangle" formed by his hands and shoulders.

Yep, they know how to hit. imo

  • your crazy. this guy has one of the best swings ive ever seen. its flawless

  • Where can I get these bands? Hopfully I can use them to wrestle. I might play football this year as well but, I mean Breaking an arm or leg kills my wrestling which would suck because this year I'm going for at least one medal from a tournament D:

  • I actually play/attend this association. 12 year old, you are completely correct. People have no respect these days.
