What if I have a guitar with a whammy and I wanna do this? Will it stay vertical? Should I do something?

@MattyPS If your guitar is in standard you can use harmonics on the 7th fret E string and 12th fret A string, pluck'em and tune the low E string down till the harmonics sound the same, Once you're sure you have the sound right tune regularly from the D(Low E) string. Check the tuning a few times before you start tuning the rest of the guitar just to be safe.
