町田市民です。家から横田基地の飛行機がよく見えております。

でも厚木基地の飛行機とは違い戦闘機は少なく輸送機などが多いで­すね。

以前は戦闘機の飛来が多かったのですが、確かに今は輸送機が多い­ですね。

でも、Patriot Expressと言われる民間機をチャーターした定期便は羽田や

成田では見られない珍しいものがやってきます。

Yokota was a great place to grow up. I will always cherish the memories of Japan and the Fussa area. "GO PANTHERS!"

@AZBob602 If Tolley Hall (Trolly?) is haunted, here's a reason... Chief Tolley dropped dead at Yokota in 1980 a month short of 30 years service. He spent most of his career in Japan. His spirit is remembered by many. He didn't bat a thousand but I can say of him that he usually got things done his way and, when it counted, he fought hard for his troops with the powers-that-were.

Watching this video, I thought of all the times I watched my friends take off in their F-4's, C-130's, C141's, etc. Although it was over 40 years ago, the memories are as clear as if it were yesterday. Thanks for posting this.

My thoughts, today, are with the people of Japan with the hope that things will be better very soon.

really an amazing place to grow up. Lived about a mile from where i went to elementary school and my mom had no worries about letting me walk home every day after school. Just a safe, great community
