Saturday Night Live - Elliot Gould ( Host )

This marked the 1st "small screen" appearance anywhere of Kid Creole and The Coconuts (1980)

"Grace of God" was the second of two performed "en vivo" that evening on this "internationally syndicated" show.

This marked the 1st "small screen" appearance anywhere of Kid Creole and The Coconuts (1980)

Little while back the first clip (Softee) of the two was shared publicly but the "SUITS" dismantled it. Eventually barring any more "short stopping" activities by the "adults" we will go public again but this time with both clips..

THE LINE UP:
Kid Creole
Coati Mundi
Addy Kaegi
Lori Eastside
Roni Griffith
Cheryl Poirier
Winston Grennan
Andrew Lloyd
Carol Colman
Mark Mazur
Peter Schott

RIP: Winston Grennan

  • 'Too much love is worse than none at all....' Damn.

  • Thank you, MundiWorld : ) : )

  • This season really had a crazy array of musical guests - Kid Creole, Captain Beefheart (also making his TV debut), Joe "King" Carrasco, and on the other end of the spectrum, the cast of "The Pirates of Penzance"!

  • yayayooo, yayayeeh

  • damn he is so cool

  • I've been waiting for the 2 performance from this SNL episode. This was one amazing band & I'm grateful to Andy/Mundi for posting these videos. I was on an 8 year hiatus from playing bass when I saw this SNL episode way back in 1980. Thanks to Ms. Colman, I dug out my '65 Fender Jazz Bass & am still playing 30 years later.

  • good job, Mundi. All that spinning, did you get dizzy?
