  • Nice video, I like seeing the difference of other countries. I think if I had found myself in Argentina I would be fairly stressed. You also seemed to speak the language pretty well. How did you learn, just being down there or did you study before your trip?

  • @lowlypawn I didn't know any Spanish before I left. I spend two weeks studying in Guatemala which really helped. After that it was mainly exposure and a dictionary. I don't speak very well. I'm REALLY good at gas station conversations though, lol

  • Okay I know this isn't the right place to ask, but I'll ask anyways - After your trip South, are you planning to or be open to another long journey? Say to Alaska? Maybe after your book... Or have you had enough of adventure touring?

I rode 3 states one time and I had enough of touring, when I got back, I was ecstatic to be sleeping on my bed again instead of a sleeping bag.

My plans are for a ride to Alaska, but thats just a pipedream for now...

  • @macfahad I got done with this journal about a year ago, and now I'm already planning for another one. Should take two years of saving. Thinking of eastern Europe and Asia this time.

  • Your setup looks pretty comfortable with the tunes and all the gear!

  • @ivecocamper It took months of perfecting the setup. Use velcro if anything is connected to yourself so it comes off easily int he event of a tipover or crash. I learned that many times :)

  • You're just like me getting ready to go. I take an age too. I prefer to make sure I have everything before I go anywhere.

  • Can you not pump it yourself?

  • I hate how they have to put gas on for you, i been to Mexico and Brazil.

  • ....To be continu...

  • Cool! Glad I discovered your channel! Take care, Roger

  • That took a while ... they could better hired more employees.

  • @imoAndy Not in many countries, they're all full-service stations. I didn't know that Oregon is also has all full-service stations, I went up there and this guy came over trying to pump gas in my tank, I thought hes some bum trying to skim money from me so I got out and said no no, I got it..he goes..sir, its full-service.Filled the tank, cleaned the windshield, he asked if Id like to have car fluids looked at.. I again thought hes gonna try to squeeze some oil change service out of me. Said no
