  • hi, what's the difference between 14-42mm lens vs 17mm lens?

    Thanks

  • @kevinpark88 The 14-42mm is a zoom, whereas the 17mm is fixed focal length. Not quite as wide as the 14mm end of the zoom but the lens is smaller and has a wider maximum aperture of f/2.8.

  • this video explains everything but lacks enthusiasm

  • Nice review. Is it still limited to 7 minutes video? Thanks!

  • @vrcraft

Ah my bad - I made the somewhat embarrassing error of not only failing to correct your mistaken terminology, but propogating it.

If you believe the 'i' stands for interpolated it might explain your thinking. However it actually stands for interlaced in this context, which is a method for displaying the same resolution by only refreshing half the lines on the display at a time. That resolution for 1080i is 1920 by 1080, just like it is for 1080p. The resolution for 720p is 1280×720.

  • @jonboy602

Well if you don't know, you can be quiet. Read more about it.

1080i = 720p INTERPOLATED, so is not true 1080, is just 720p interpolated to look larger, but with artifacts.

With your dumb brain and thinking why would anyone interpolate 1080p to give you 1080i, when I is interpolated, so cheaper and lower quality. Think before you comment something.

  • @vrcraft

Erm, no. 1080i is 1080p interpolated. 720 is a lower resolution.

  • Nice job on the review but you guys should consider filming this someplace else. Too much sound reflection.
