This book is awful to me. I am willing to work with more feminine ideas but I just cannot deal with this. There is so much discussion about such little thing s I fall asleep reading it. The entire book is about girls trying to get married=no plot. The entire story relies on the characters which I can admit are more interesting than most average books but still. I am upset because this book, which was assigned to me, is keeping me from reading a book I want to read called Far Bright Star.

It gets better. I'm on page 150 right now and the first 130 pages were pretty slow. It picks up later

omg its a terrible book im reading now in English class and it feels like parts of my soul are being ripped out each time I even look at it.

i read it and im a guy and i liked it just as much as u do =) the only thing i do not like is after i got done reading it i went to barnes and noble and there were all these continuations of it (and there were also a couple continuations of Sense and Sensibility too)
i believe if Jane Austen was still alive today she would not approve of any of them, she wrote it the way she wanted it to be

Ok , I swore I would never read it but I got and audio book and listened to it in the car. It was as bad as I expected I'm sorry to say. It was shallow and had NO sex scenes in it. Handsome and rich guy gets the girl following a brief misundersting ?
Thats my opinion anyway. Bah !
