    There are aluminum allows that are just flat out stronger than some steel alloys. Please don't misunderstand me ... most steel alloys are stronger than most aluminum alloys ... also I'm sure the strongest steel alloy is stronger than the strongest aluminum alloy.

    If this weren't so, then I doubt forged aluminum alloy pistons would withstand the abuse that they do. I have some in my car that can withstand more than 200 hp per piston.
