  • Your fan is no good for your application IMO.

You need a DC fan so you can easily (and safely) regulate its speed.

  • That is a standard fan, just use a section of "lampcord", your hardware store will know what you want, and a standard household two pin plug on the end of it, wire it up and plug it in to the wall. Great videos by the way! Very entertaining and informative!

  • Can I grow them in Arizona?

  • Were did you get your "hops" and did you have to get put on a wait list?

    Thank you!

  • that's a long way from buying a kit at the store! Or a six pack!

  • I just made a stir plate using a fan like that and a 9V power supply. Anywhere in 6V to 15V should be just fine. The higher your voltage, the more you'll benefit from having a potentiometer/rheostat wired into series, so that you can _gradually_ reach your top speed.

  • I just got my rhizomes planted a couple days ago, and the first bud just showed itself above the soil. North Carolina's weather should be warm enough no to leave mine outside all day and night, but they are still in the pots just in case. I've got 3 Willamette, 3 Mount Hood, and 3 Cascade going right now. I will stay tuned to see if mine turn out as well as yours.

  • Just take your fan down to radioshack, or any electronics store and pick up a power source.

Your fan looks just like the one I used in my fermentation chiller, I just picked up an AC adaptor, clipped off the jack, and attached the bare wires to the leads on the fan motor.

Just check the plate on the ac adaptor to make sure its OUTPUT is the same as the power requirements of your motor...

  • Good luck with this man!
