  • i have the lid that came with the rubbermaid container that kinda latches on, i dont use petroleum jelly, but they do seem to get stuck under the handles, and by stuck i mean they like to hang out there. as for where i get them, my local pet store has some on hand from time to time, i bought 5 about a year and a half ago and theyve been breeding since.

  • they arent so much pets as feeders for my gecko, skink, and beardie

  • They are beautiful!

  • no. they are nothing like the ones you find in your cupboards. they have no wings, and give off no smell and are relatively clean. there is nothing nasty bout them. they're like crunchy hamsters :P

  • could a gecko from the rhacodactylus family be able to eat these? im getting them for my dragons but just wondering if my gargoyle gecko can eat them too

  • do the nymphs ever drown in the water dish because I heard that can be an issue even with the larger ones

  • I HATE HIM. STUPID

  • @gordondrummond thanks need to find some roaches that are faster growers for feeders.still ordering 50 to start a col. though

  • @74drat I bought mine as adults, took about 3 months to settle and breed. Takes about 3 years from birth to reach maturity :) I want to get more, but need to find space first

  • @gordondrummond I'm ordering 50 sub/adults how quick do they grow and mate?

  • i hate all roaches but these

  • I bought 10 (5 males and 5 females) and now have 55 nymphs :), they are an amazing insect!

  • Thank you for heightening respect for this much-maligned, underappreciated animal!
