Wine's makers Codeweavers created a professional version that works with everything called: Crossover Pro. Check that out. For gaming, they created Cedega with Video acceleration. Hope this helps.

actually, I don't know. I installed a copy of the retail version before the expiration date came.

kde will be a little familiar to windows because it has a start menu, but over all it's a different experience.
