@alfistii1 ; Totally agree, without Alfa romeo this sport would be so dull, look at BTC today yawnnnn
-
Alfa wins on style and presence everytime..bmw just a little dull by comparasen...

@McLarenMercedes yeah true, but if i m not mistaken(and i m not P) it was an alfa 156 at that time too. And that is quite an old car it had been in production from 1999-2007. I mean a car which had been raced for 10 years it is obvious that they would have been defeated. And it had won the ETC and ITC (Italian touring car) from 1998-2003. Considering that BMW had 3 variants of the 3 series in 10 years. whilst the 156 had just a face lift.

Well Alfa competed in WTCC in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and each year BMW defeated them in both the drivers' and constructors' standings.
And in the ETCC in 2004 too (which proceeded WTCC) BMW defeated Alfa again.
Andy Priaulx was ETCC champion in 2004, then WTCC champion in '05, '06 and '07. All in bimmers.

that's italia baby ;)

Even on one-wheel drive, Alfas can keep up with a BMW.

For real drama in touring car racing see Alfa romeo and Tarquini, forza Italia

he even keeps his speed going while on two wheels to have a fast lap time ... what a truly skilled race car driver
Can you believe that tarquini now is driving a lazy seat tdi int the wtcc. Alfa pls go back in wtcc so you can show bimmers how cars are made
