Coriolis - Mitad del Mundo - Ecuador (2/2)

I took this video at Mitad del Mundo in Ecuador, close to Quito.
It's is supposed that the Coriolis effect doesn't affect the water into the sink, but here is it working? Clockwise at North, counter-clockwise at South, NO ROTATION at the equator. If there is a trick, you have to find it! :-)

it is not strong enough to have this much of an effect at such little variation.

all it depends on is the sinks and the pipes... switch the sinks and you will see

In theory it is not strong enough....

But the sink is the same, moved to N, S and at Eq., so it can't be a trick with the sink.

Moreover, since we may see how strong is the spin at N and S, it becomes difficult to understand how can be no spin at all in the equator...

So? The trick must be elsewere and I think I get it....it is not nor in the sink, nor in the hands of the person but is the way they....

...ops, let's everyone think about that, it is not fair to unveil secrets ;-P

The trick is in the sink. When this sink in northern point east and when in the south west points. Look at the legs of the sink and see.

El truco esta en el fregadero. Cuando esta en el norte el fregadero apunta al este y cuando esta en el sur apunta al oeste. Mirar las patas del fregadero y se vera.
