It was an acoustic you jackass. Piezo pickups didn't exist in '79, when this piece was released by the way. It's from Van Halen II the piece is Spanish Fly

i respect van halen as a talented musician, however the down fall of this piece is it is half impressive as it sounds. it is played on a music man with a built in piezo pick to make it sound like an acoustic. If he could actually play this on an acoustic guitar, then it would make it much more impressive. but thats my view. Still amazing however, not going to deny that one!
