well, who is paying for pharmaceuticals? It's the consumers! As a medical student, I see many people who have a long list of medications. These patients tend to be those who have preventable diseases. If we change our culture and the way we live to a more conscious way of living, I can bet on my life that pharmaceuticals would not be as rich as they. They would also have no foot hold in legislation to dictate what doctors should do.

@askmybollocks I can say the same to you. Actually the biggest problem is the fact that our modern societies need money. The people who have too much of it like to keep it that way and thus preventing starting projects that can make profit superfast because their means and goals are better. Hence why we still have airplanes and not intercontinental magnet trains in vacum tubes. A lot of food can actually be produced in such areas but the projects are stopped cause of money :(

Even if we all lived like the people in Africa (which western civilization will never do) then there could only be 19,5 billion people on this planet. My point is that there is in fact a limit tot he amount of people that the Earth can sustain.
