After trying to use C4D and having used Maya in the past I must say Modo seems very easy to use but man the workflow is so different than any other package. There lies it caveat and why it isn't the number one package imo. This will take me a month just to get used to it, many pros don't have that amount of time so they do not switch over, but the way you cut up the cube at the start C4D's knife tool just can't, as easily, compete.

Bevel worked for me with the holes, but when it comes to beveling the edges, it didnt get smooth like yours. What am i doing wrong???

I'm having a problem. While selecting the vertices, I'm only capable of selecting one. You selected nine on a single side, but I can't select more than one. Any idea what the problem is?

A die opposite sides add up to seven.
When you did the six the one would go on the opposite side.
