From www.josepino.com - A six-legged solar-powered bug bot.

This "robot" uses three legs to stand up while the other three are advancing. No RCX used, just one motor, gears and a 6-volts solar cell to provide power.
Fast as a turtle!

  • how did u get the panel to a mindstorms servo?

  • I did cut the wire and attached directly to the motor.

  • Nice little robot but it is alittle too top heavy and the structure of its legs adds to its instability, though the speed is slowed down. Personally I would choose wheels given the terrain it is traversing over in the video.

  • hey you guy didn't see that it was walking on the surface of Mars?

  • Actually, it is somewhere in my backyard. I was not able to pay millions of dollars to send it to Mars.

  • I already figured that after many flip-flops, backflops and jumps. For that reason I had to improve the design and create the Solar powered walking robot III

  • song is from a mexican show called "Chavo del 8." Kid of 8

  • it can walk for ever!! as long the sun doesn't blow up! XD

  • wundervoll. Ich denke, das wird die nächste Mars-Sonde an. Sie sehen bei der NASA.

  • Perhaps 4 pairs of legs will help. Try adding another set, it might be more stable.

  • nice

  • hmmm with some modification in the gears of the legs i could make that robot better but it is very good
