Loch Ness Marathon 2010.mpg

The 9th Loch Ness Marathon took place on Sunday October 3rd 2010 and we watched from the gate leading down to Aspenwood Holiday Cottage. It was won by a Great Britain male International Tomas Abyn in 2hrs 20 mins 50 secs who first won it 7 years ago.Good fun to watch the race and encourage the runners.Several of our guests have entered this race in the past.

Holy moley! First time I've looked for a video of the race and there I am straight away! (Taking a swig from my bottle in the first few seconds of the vid)

@aspenwood Oh and I remember running behind that bumblebee for about 10miles but she soon outrun me... lol. I thought it was hard enough running, but running with a costume and in a good time - Good effort!!

I would just like to thank aspenwood. I ran this Marathon and you wouldn't believe how much help a small clapping hand (as you can hear in this video) can spur you on for the next 3/4 miles. I Managed to finish this Marathon in just under 6 hours but I was grateful for all the support from people in the crowd. I remember a young boy at one of the drink stations saying "Come on, you can do it, you've come this far..." - That was truely inspirational for me to carry on, even tho, it was just 1 guy
