    Eh ?

    How is 'LisaWrite' gay ?

And really what Microsoft had back in 83' was just a black screen with green writing....

If Apple hadn't of come out the Lisa in 83' or the Macintosh in 84', Windows would have not existed for at least 10 - 15 years.

Yes, the man wore a waistcoat (suit vest), which was in at the time (late 1970s thru to about early 1984).

Men are starting to dress well again for office work, and I really like that. We have put away the sweaters and t-shirts, which are for non-working hours. I got tired of looking like I was in "nursery school" in the office (t-shirt, and shorts) when I was already 40 years old.

Correction: the real inventor of the mouse and windows metaphor is Douglas Engelbart. Xerox copied him and Apple copied Xerox. Much of the early computer development was carried out by universities, funded by the government.

And it was XEROX that invented the desktop graphical interface, NOT Apple. So, it was only a matter of time before others copied it.

Not true because Gary Kildall, author of CP/M (DOS was a clone of CP/M that Bill Gates BOUGHT), came out with GEM that ran under DOS, and it was very much like the Mac interface, and far superior - according to many at the time - to the first Windows OS.

    Search for:

"Gary Kildall Special [PART 1 OF 3]"

"Computer Chronicles: The Macintosh Computer Part 2 1985" - move the slider to 3:58 and watch Gary introduce his firm's GUI for DOS (DOS, a clone of HIS OS, CP/M, that Gates effectively stole).
