Amazing, well played!! sounds to me a couple of the notes need a little turn with the old tuning hammer though (maybe it's just me?)

I'm extremely fussy about this piece! I really like ur rendition :-) IMO the right passion is there, I think you can perfect the piece by creating more emphasis on the parts that should be played more soft or strongly in order to add greater contrast and emotion to the overall feel. Aside from that & of course practising 2 be as note perfect as u can, I think that special something is very present and this is 1 of the better versions I have heard. Good job, thanks for sharing :-) blessings x

It's not bad. But not perfect ( I admit that I'm not able to play that piece),that's probably because I'm used to listen the Rubinstein version. For example at 7:00 it's not expressive,as it should must be played.
Despite that I think you're very talented but you should be have practice on the music in it-self,not only the tecnique.

My goodness I want to play this piece so bad one day!!!
Very well done!!!!!

@tcaetano77 yea but rubinstein was from an era of performers that made mistakes like it was no big deal (it wasn't) .....have you heard arrau towards the end of his life? his beethoven and rubinstein's chopin were littered with mistakes, but their musicality and portrayal of character was what made them great. I agree this is a hard piece and with your analysis on her lacking sometimes. its both technically difficult and so well known but to compare it to rubinstein..haha I think that's unfair.

BTW, this is the slowest tempo i've ever heard. Sometimes that a good thing tough.

This is my dream piece, I am going to play this one day.

its good... but man... that beginning parts lack that passion... the notes and dynamics are all good... but
Chopin's heart was breaking man... he didn't just write this piece to show off his ability, he did it because he was breaking... maybe its just me...
but I do got to say she naiiled the intense parts perfectly...

It's like she's possessed by the music she plays.
This is a very hard piece to play. Very hard and she did a very good job. Lacked some intensity on some spots, a few mistakes but even Rubinstein made some mistakes in the stuff that he actually published - it ads a little personality actually. Ann is very young with a lifetime to perfect this art. Ballade No. 1 Op. 23 in G Minor is my all time favourite.
