Car Seat Black Box

A study being conducted by the Children’s Hospital is aimed at determining whether or not the length of time in a car seat may affect the head shape of newborn babies. As parents are not a fully reliable source of data for this type of information, our goal is to create a sensor which is able to measure how long a baby has been in a seat. This sensor will be small, waterproof, and lightweight. It will be in a car and should resistant to shock and other forms of interference which it might experience under normal circumstances in an automobile. The sensor should not directly contact the baby. Its recorded data will periodically need to be checked and should have an easy interface for users to check on a PC.
