  • @escalade182 my 900zxi revs to 8000 and i can get 57 58 mph so im geussing you have issues @ 16400 i just flicked through my manual and they can jump up to about 12000 + .

only when the jet pump comes out of the water from being under load ie doing jumps this is why they install rev limiters to stop an engine runaway

  • @escalade182

LIAR.. if you had a 900 that revved to 16k then you would be rich beyond your wildest dreams and very well known in the PWC industry ,.

  • @crazykid8967 Youre the idiot. Ski's typically rev 12k-16k redline depending. My 900 rev's 16400 @ 55 MPH. What you are hearing is an electronic rev limiter.

  • @yonmoore even if it has a rev limiter it could still blow up. from what i see in the video, there is flush hose connected to it. so 1, there is no cooling. 2 if this was a cold start the motor could've easily cold seized because the pistons heat up and expand faster than the cylinder, causing them to seize in the bore.

  • what pump are you running?

  • All the comments about reving this motor are starting to piss me off. Don't tell me all those people have never heard of a rev limiter. Jeez!

  • Yeah gohead' blow that motor!!

  • if the engine fail when revving like that on land,,its a good thing you didnt make it to the lake,a 2 stroke can handle that, and if it doesnt it was something wrong whit it and needed to be repaird anyway.

  • there is nothing wrong with revving it like that.
