i'm running a force gt, i get about a 15 second boot time when loading windows, pretty much the same as ubuntu on my 7 year old laptop come to think of it...

On kde, you can go to system settings - login and there will be an option somewhere to login automatically to a certain user
( im not at the pc now so the names might be a bit wrong but its something like that )
-
@Juilkca It takes some time to set up but it's so worth it. And once you have running it in production levels you won't have to reinstall ever again since it's rolling release!
-
How did you get it, boot straight to the desktop.
-
@firestar124 it uses autologin, so actually i do login :)
-
Man, impressive. You should use a lighter display manager like slim and a lighter DE like openbox or fluxbox. Would make the booting even faster.
-
@fabsb0t well, in theory. You still have to log in, if via CLI so it doesn't make a difference in the end.

would look even nicer, when the full sreen logo would be turned off
you should check out the ocz vertex II ssd those get pretty good benches
