@going2sleep Have to setup a google adsense account first then link to your youtube account. At that point I applied to become a youtube partner but was denied but then the monetize option appeared although I am not a youtube partner. That is about the best answer I can give you. It just appeared as an option this morning for the channel.

Im getting about $2.50 per 1,000 views so its not a big deal. I know of a guy who had a video go viral with @ 500,000 hits a day for a week and he was not able to monitize his channel for some reason.

@TheNinjaPicker That sucks that he couldn't monetize his video. By your numbers thats 8750 he lost out on. Or in other terms a 2 week cruise for him and his wife. But it's just a big experiment. If it makes money that would be sweet. If not no big deal. I will follow thru with it for the next 2-3 months though just to see how it works.
