bull shit the dentist just want to keep taking a bunch of money out of your wallet and the insurances pocket, COMPETITION! they don't use bleach, so they wont burn your gums, they use peroxide just like the kind at the grocery store and a light you can buy at home depot? Duh!

@inkey2 Veneers would be your best choice BUT they are expensive and often they look fake. Yes you will have a perfect smile but i personally dont like the way people look with veneers. It looks really fake.

@inkey2 Tetracycline stain is typically a yellowish line which is more visible if teeth are dried. Tetracycline and fluoride stains are embedded deep in the tooth structure and are the hardest to remove with whitening treatment. Depends on what expectations you have though. I have had few patients that got really good results. I can show you the pictures if you want just PM me your email. sometimes these stains disappear if exposed to whitening numerous times.

@alboss13 my stains are clear through the bone of the tooth. They are not surface stains, Mine probably happened from having the drug tetracyclin as a kid. The only thing left for me to do is get veneers

@inkey2 Well keep in mind that whitening treatment is for people that have stain. If you do not have stain you will not have any effect from whitening. Also there are some genetically conditions but rarely seen them.

@gumsidebiz You have no idea what you are talking about buddy. Its funny how people that have no idea about the subject talk as if they know everything. First of all Hydrogen peroxide is what patients call it Bleach. Secondly Mall kiosks can not perform oral examination to make sure you are safe and a candidate for whitening and third Dentists and Dental Hygienists use professional 25-35 %HP whereas mall kiosks use UP TO 14 % HP. Higher Concentration means whiter teeth. So enough with misinfo

BEWARE......I bought a whitening kit off ebay that boasted of it's strong whitening capabilities.....it was something like 35% peroxide. I did not know that was a dangerously high concentration. It caused bone deterioration to my teeth and I had to get them restored.
