@duartefilnetcabo Frank talked about the concept of a "rock star" as pathetic and even if it existed it didn't apply to him, the media highlights any artist from that era as a "rockstar".He was a composer who also happened to be a guitarist, and the philosophy he shares here is very much in-tuned with XX n XXI century society. And you talk about reality, have the balls to listen to his social commentary, music repertoire and interviews and you'll understand where in "reality" he exists.

@barun432 You'd be German, Japanese, or Russian right now if it hadn't been for Mr. America. Study World War II. A country, at any one time, is only as good as the people in charge. Don't paint with a broad brush and cast your artistic doom-hue onto all America because some celebrity said it was the "in" thing to do. America isn't perfect. It's getting better. That's what a democratic-republic with a constitution does..slowly..

the thing is, i dont think that zappa went around acting like a self-centered, cynical asshole. he obviously has made friends (hendrix being one of them) and i think the point here, is to not expect what someone else has. its almost a declaration of humility. make friends, laugh, and play but dont have any sort of expectation from people or life. that way, you dont set yourself up for dissapointment
