Me, playing the first two movements of this piece for a concerto competition. Thanks to John for filming this for me! (you can see his videos under saxophone143) Oh, and sorry for the sound quality, the camera was designed to take pictures not record music! :)

  • very beautifull do you know where I can find the music for bassoon & piano?

  • The bassoonist is good, the speed in the 1st mvt is just a little too fast for my taste.

  • go spend 5 dollars on itunes and download this whole concerto and listen to judy leclaire play this bad boy... sounds sooo pretty

  • I use a neckstrap with my balance hanger and it's fine.

  • I agree with jnskthy1. Have you heard her play it?

  • Same shit. Different pile.

  • they dont use neck straps they use harnesses it takes the pressure off the neck and is much easiar

  • i use a saxophone harness and thats what most proffesional bassoonist, atleast around here, use for standing. i think it works great but i always prefer the seat strap now.

  • Not me. I always solo with a seat strap. The neckstrap negatively affects the comfortable reach of low notes for me.
