Jury nullification is the one rule of law that no judge ever tells a jury about, but it enables a jury to decide a case according to what is right. Jury nullification is a Constitutional right of jurors and they cannot be punished for exercising this right. The right is an important part of the Constitutions checks and balances and needs to be known and exercised by jurors to overcome some of the major advantages the rich and powerful have created for themselves in our civil judicial system.
I was able to convice the jury to nullify today, just bad law plain and simple.

what is the possibility of enacting a trial by jury (7th amendment) involving child support cases? since a parent ma y be require to pay over $20.00 in support but refusal to do so is a contempt of court charge? any ideas on this possibility since most family law is common law it seems?
