One thing about this film that is realistic is the police are jerks that dont do anything but cover up for their friends .

i saw this movie in back of a pickup truck at a drive in.watching it since i was 15

my favorite character in that movie was "Gangrene", a biker with a swastika tattooed on his arm. He gets mauled in a fight by Billy jack and ends up puking.

There is a scene where 2 male bikers make out. Pretty risky for '67

I met Tom Laughlin and Delores Taylor at a special showing of "Billy Jack" at the Los Angeles Film Festival and i just want to tell everyone that they are terrific, really nice people, very gracious, just delightful.
