See how to create a data validation dropdown list in 1st workbook when source list is in 2nd workbook. See the IF function with workbook cell references. See the OFFSET function used to define a dynamic range using a named formula. See the COUNTIF and COUNT functions used to count words and numbers.

Data validation drop down list.

  • Last week I downloaded some workbooks, but now when you click on the website it asks for a password.

  • This is a temporary problem. I have notified the Server Computer Administrators. I do not know when it will be fixed, but it should be soon as all my students, viewers at YouTube and I all cannot access this web site.

  • That is simply wonderful dear. Thanks for the tutorial.

Have a big doubt thats even hard to explain.

I ahve a list and i have enabled the drop down list and since the list is huge there is a scroll bar formed. Can i just do it some way that i dont have that scroll bar and i get to see the whole list? in other words while in the dropdown, i dont want the scroll bar but wish to display all whole list.

hope its not a big challenge.

    thanks dear.

  • At 0:42 and 0:47, you are zooming in and out. Sounds like you are using keyboard shortcuts. How are you doing that?

  • Dear Thunderbird2014,

Hold Ctrl and roll the wheel on your Mouse to get it to Zoom in and out. It works in Word, Excel, Browsers and more...
