This is our preview video of Toy Story Midway Mania ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios taken May 10, 2008 during the Annual Passholder preview. Please note that the ride spins and is in 3-D, so the video is shaky and blurry at times.

There was lots of excitement last weekend at Disney's Hollywood Studios as thousands of Annual Passholders got a sneak peek at the new attraction called Toy Story Mania. Several of our agents at Destinations in Florida Travel, headed off to Disney's Hollywood Studios to see this new ride. The whole area surrounding Toy Story Mania was closed off, so many guests did not even know this new ride was there hidden behind the walls. We showed our ID's and headed into the Toy Story Mania area to find out there was a 90 minute wait for this new ride. Not wanting to miss this brand new ride, we waited the 90 minutes that actually turned out to be 2 hours.

Even though it was a 2 hour wait, the queue line was incredible. There were so many Toy Story toys to look at from game boards, Andy's house, Lincoln Log house, barrel of monkeys to an interactive Mr. Potato Head (life size). Disney is making the waiting experience more and more enjoyable with each new ride. All of the adults were entertained. We even had a preschooler with our group (age 4) and he was actually happy during the whole 2 hour wait.

The ride is themed with the Toy Story Characters as you play midway carnival games. You are on a car that moves around while you play these games. One game is a ring toss, a different game involves shooting darts, another game involves breaking plates. Each game is centered around carnival games. You earn points during the whole ride. To make the ride more fun, you wear 3-D glasses and the whole ride is in 3-D. It is a really fun way to enjoy a ride!

The official grand opening is this week for Toy Story Mania at Disney's Hollywood Studios. We highly recommend this ride for families of all ages. It is fun for preschoolers, kids, teens, and adults. For us, it was worth the long wait. However, for guests visiting Disney World we suggest taking advantage of the FastPass with this ride. With Fast Pass and the Extra Magic Hours, you should never have to wait more than 30 minutes for a ride at Disney World. Take advantage of the FastPass for this ride.

Toy Story Midway Mania! (marketed as Toy Story Mania![1]) is an interactive 4-D theme park attraction, currently located at two Disney theme parks: Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort.
Designed by Walt Disney Imagineering and inspired by Disney·Pixar's Toy Story franchise, the attraction was first unveiled during a press conference at Walt Disney World in January 2007. The Florida version opened officially on May 31, 2008,[2][3] while the California version officially opened on June 17, 2008.[4][5] A new version of the attraction will be constructed at Tokyo DisneySea and is expected to open in 2012.[6]

Does the ride spin fast or if you have been on Buzz Lightyear you should be fine?

If you've been on Buzz, you should be fine. The spinning is more just to move you from place to place.

Probably a 7. The queue is very cool and so is the ride. My one complaint is that it is VERY similar to the Buzz ride at Magic Kingdom. They could have just updated that ride, rather than built an entirely new ride.

Hollywood Studios was my favorite out of the 4 Disney parks.

This is my favorite attraction in Disney. I went twices in Hollywood Studios, just to play many times at this attraction. I recommend to everyone, is very funny. The technology is amazing.

I would say the waiting queue in DHS is better than the queue but I'm closer to Disneyland so I go on that instead.

i went to disney world I never went to get a fast pass but i loved this ride and big thunder mountain railroad at disney's magic kingdom!
