James Bond 007 AMV #5: You Only Live Twice (Yu Yu Hakusho)

At long last, here is an addition to "The James Bond 007 AMV Collection" that is actually based on an anime!

To be honest, I never was a big fan of "Yu Yu Hakusho". I saw it a few times on Adult Swim years ago...and only because there was nothing else good on at that hour. It had a good story, but hardly anything mind-boggling as any other anime, at least to me anyway.

But as I started to envision this whole project...I always thought that "YYH" would be a part of it. Call it an intuitive sense between the relationship between music you hear and the visuals you see on-screen.

The biggest difficultly for me to overcome from making Videogame AMVs to Anime AMVs was the plain and simple fact that there is so much more viable footage in the latter, whereas I was only previously limited to in-game cutscenes.

For future anime-based James Bond 007 AMVs, I now have an established system for selecting the best footage available; By following the arc of the main story, I can determine the individual episodes that will compliment the base song the best.

For choosing to make the Anime ones more "story-driven" is why there is a slightly lengthy opening scene depicting the beginning of the series (and not just the music and footage cutting in immediately).

I hope you will enjoy the first Anime AMV of "The James Bond 007 AMV Collection"...and the first one I have ever made...

By the time I noticed them, the uploading was complete and the video was already distributed across multiple linking sites. There were so many new things I was trying out for the first time with this video that I didn't pay enough attention to the text. I promise that I'll be more careful next time.
