Scott Cohen's performances in 1989 were breathtaking all year round, and his short and long program in Italy, 1989 were of no exception. Scott had fierce competition from Sandro Guerra at this championship and went on to win the gold.

  • This proves roller skating can compete with ice skating!!!!!!

  • Now that is amazing rollerskating .

  • Roller Skates-- How? That's amazing!

  • Again it was amazing- it looked exactly like Ice I skated against Scott once ,it was at the Nationals, wow what a skater, When I tell people they do this on Roller Skates, I have been an Ice Skater Pro. for over 25 years, they have no idea what I am talking about, so I refer them to youtube and Scott or CAn am

  • Amazing!!!!!! He really skated!...speed! So great! :)

  • I skated against these guys (Greg Smith, Bryan Denny, Scott Cohen) at the Nationals every year. I never had a chance! It was fun and Scott skated like nothing I have seen since.

  • Scott Cohen,

I'm about to die. YOU ARE THE BEST EVER. Mr Pollard told me that you could win the worlds in 2009. Love u man.

  • The US was very represented in 2008 - of course they were there.. they dont need an invite, they send a team based on the results at Nationals... they won a total of 5 medals at the worlds, 1 Gold, 2 Silver, 2 Bronze..

No, its not the same as it was in the era shown, but they still have some good skaters..

  • Right, I do as well. I left the sport in 1991 but I dont think the USA has ever returned the same level as during this era in skating. I don't think the US even got an invitation to the 2008 worlds...I could be wrong but they weren't on the list of invited countries.

  • he´s a very good skater, y love his leg position in the air and the height of his jumps the only thing i don´t like is his landing, it looks like if he is looking at the floor, but great!!! and nice combo of doble rit and triple metz
