  • Thanks for the video. This is exactly the information I was looking for. I'm running my first Half in 6 weeks and I was wondering if doing a walk/run method was acceptable. Thanks again!

  • Its useful, I follow the Galloway method, not as strict with the watch though as it takes the fun out, I alternate first per hour/10km.

    Galloway also says run the full distance as a training run, I prefer running 3 or 4x 28-32 km and maybe walking an additional 10 after that.

    I mainly keep track of my average speed i.e. time goal to finish) and heart rate to determine walking breaks.
