The intro is very rock, and beauty but is as 20th century fox of T REX. I THINK THAT IS EGUAL

Aaaaa torino! Was there what a beautiful night. Great to see the man back fit and firing on all cylinders. New album is shaping up nicely if these live songs are anything to go from i.e. Glastonbury, every breaking wave, mercy, north star....

look at that fuckin security guard following every step bono takes down that strech stage haha

Strange Opener---

@habib234 I completely understand what you say! Beatiful day beginning is too slow. I always thought the beginning of this tour should be Get on yout boots with special intro "The future needs a big kiss" and then ROCK ON!

LMAO. the guy on the right is like following him, and everytime Bono walks back and forth quickly, he looks like his gonna kill him. xD
-
perfect entry !!

Vai ser brutal...XD OMG
this would be a good intro track on the album, i hope this appears on the new album, something very 'fly' about this...
North star...hmm,,soaring yet unfufilled i feel,,needs the band treatment
The Flowering Rose of Glastonbury - wrong place to debut it, obviously,,,but a grower
though its wrong, just plain wrong to open with beautiful day,,,no u2. just no.
The great thing about Breathe was the mood the intro brought out. it had that ethereal quality to it.

@habib234 Considering what Bono just went through, Beautiful Day was probably a very personal choice for the band, and the perfect opener.

@popbonobuzzbaby oh don't get me wrong i dig beautiful day with all its spiritual and ethereal qualities, but an opener should set the mood with some moody rock, something that gets the crowd going. The gestation of Beautiful Day is too slow and drawn out. Breathe had that immediate sound of urgenct, Larry's intricate drum solo, I yearn for the openers of Vertigo, Elevation, Mofo and the ultimate opener Zoo station.
Beautiful Day is just too happy-poppy for a rock'n'roll gig...

@habib234 I do understand where you're coming from & might agree if Bono hadn't back surgery/partial paralysis weeks ago! Under these circumstances, BD was maybe how they felt at being there again together on stage which is their life! This vid shows Bono's side of the reaction, but watch another vid of this moment, the band applauds him before BD (Larry gives him a standing ovation) & you can feel their joy at this triumphant return for Bono. I think they felt BD was their way of expressing it.

If coordination of the lights and effects complicates things and effects their music. Maybe they should loose all the extra crap. Its actually pretty easy to change up a set list. You pick out 5 different songs every time. Set up your backing tracks. Then you play them, nobody will complain. They should be happy with being the best band in the word, not the biggest. So they are just going to haul around a giant space ship for 3 years and play the same songs over and over until 2011. Great.

@HaroldPeacocks Actually it is pretty great. Because they are bringing that spaceship to a different city on the planet almost every show on the tour and playing for a different audience each time. Just because a small group of people know that the setlist stays basically the same at each city doesn't mean most of the audience knows or cares! Every audience in every city deserves that great show that U2 has put together for us!
