the smoke is not smoke at all but concrete dust. There might be some spent fuel oil on the sides of the stack if it was used to heat the building, but not enough to find.

Some of the guys would wear respirators not much more than dust masks really. The operators were very good at demo, but were exposed to much dust which may have contained dangerous particals. (asbestos????)

We thought the stack would fall like a tree,notice the notch which was knocked out at front. I feared for the equiptment operator, he was OK. The pole attached to the machine was about 20 ft. long, he was quite close to the base. The stack was 250 ft. tall
